About Rancho Colinas

Rancho Colinas is a charming community in the north side of Coto de Caza. These custom estates come with many amenities.

Rancho Colinas was built by Stonefield Development, and features 53 homes of varying floor plans. This community is under the jurisdiction of the Capistrano Unified School District which offer highly ranked facilities like Tijeras Creek Elementary School, Las Flores Middle School, and Tesoro High School. Some families prefer private schools such as St. John’s Episcopal School and the Serra Catholic Schools. Saddleback College is within minutes and many other institutions are within an hour’s drive.

This community is just north of the Coto de Caza Golf & Racquet Club which is the first 36-hole golf course in Orange County. And to the east you’ll find the Dove Canyon Country Club, the only private Jack Nicklaus course in this region. On the corner of Coto de Caza Drive is the Coto Sport Park which features four sports fields, basketball courts, a sand volleyball court, picnic areas, and barbecue pits.

Residents enjoy the many trails throughout this region where hikers, mountain bikers, and horseback riders are welcome. Parks here include Pajaro Park, Caspers Wilderness Park, and Thomas F. Riley Wilderness Park. This is also where you’ll find the Orange County Polo Club which offers tournaments, scrimmages, and lessons throughout the year.

There are many shopping centers like The Shops at Mission Viejo in neighboring cities. The Coto de Caza General Store was once a landmark but was converted into a state of the art multi-store facility in 2015.

Coto de Caza is one of Orange County’s oldest private planned communities and is comprised of 5,000 acres. It has over 4,000 homes and is made up of three areas; north, south, and south bend. This neighborhood is conveniently located about 25 minutes from the Orange County Airport. Neighbors include Dove Canyon, Wagon Wheel Canyon, Rancho Cielo, and Rancho Santa Margarita.
